Renowed artist, Shepard Fairey, well known in his own right but also as the artist who created the "Hope" poster for Candidate Obama.
Recently (08/12), he left his mark in Asbury Park, N.J. creating a 900 square foot mural entitled "Mount-Rush-Core." It depicts punk rock icons Joey Ramone, Johnny Rotten, Joe Strummer, Glen Danzig, Ian MacKaye, and Henry Rollins. The mural, adjacent to the The Asbury Lanes was done in conjunction with the annual "All Tomorrow"s concerts. Elsewhere in Asbury Park, Fairey also painted panels re-crearting album cover art from Obey Records.
