Description
Very happy to announce that "Could This Be Love" tied for second / came in third in the Fine Art America contest "My Funny Valentine" 2/13/2021. Many thanks to the contest admin Debi Bonine and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to all the other winners!!
There's a coy look in the golden eyes of Miss Birdie, a lovely Great Green Macaw parrot. She feels the warm springtime sunshine ... enjoys the brightly colored flowers growing on her perch and the songs of the songbirds that flutter nearby. Spring has sprung. The guy sharing her perch, who has been hanging around for months, suddenly seems different. His emerald green feathers are shinier ... the red plume over his gleaming ebony beak looks like rubies. She sidles a little closer, her eyes widening ... "OOO! Very nice ... very, very nice," Miss Birdie thinks. "Hmmm ... could this be love?"
Two glorious Great Green Macaw parrots perched companionably together on a branch at the Catoctin Wildlife Center in Thurmont, Maryland. Their interactions and adorable playfulness was a joy to view.
Image painted by hand, digitally, and very loosely based on one of my own photos using Corel Painter 2019, a Wacom tablet and the art pen stylus and many beautiful digital brushes.
This image was NOT created using AI - Artificial Intelligence.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... it will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
