Description
It's a sunny summer day and a bright yellow and black tiger swallowtail butterfly delicately alights on the orange crown of a pink coneflower. She begins sipping the sweet nectar she finds there and sighs with happiness.
I often wonder how butterflies see the world. We've all seen those photos of what things look like to flies ... but what about to butterflies? I like to imagine that they see .... and understand ... things in a far different way than we do. Can they see the summer breezes as they arc through the sky? Can they see the golden pollen as it rains down, covering the land and giving life to the flowers and plants growing hopefully all around? I like to think they can!!
Image hand-painted, digitally, and very loosely based on one of my own photos which I took in my garden a few years ago. Lots of creative license taken. Painted in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet, the art pen, and lots of beautiful brushes.
This image was NOT created using AI - Artificial Intelligence.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
