Description
A tumbling down barn, it's once bright red paint peeling, still holds a place of importance on the old farm. Stashed within the remaining walls and tin roof are implements once vital to the life of those who lived and worked here. And it's still beautiful .. even with night fast approaching.
I found this barn along Route 30 between Breezewood and Bedford in PA. When I first saw it only a couple of years ago, parts were still being used for hay storage. But when I drove past recently, March 15, 2009, it was clear I was looking at something that won't be around much longer. I don't know the history, but directly across the road had been a very interesting, 2-story log house that is gone now, as well. Only the brick fireplaces and a pile of rubble remain.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Whaever you did find, it shrinked your heart with a pang of misery and dakrness...some pain too, for it remembered you about something that is inside of our own heart. The picture is interesting but the edition is supernatural, out of this world, It brings decay out of its daily common sense, and places it inside of the deep structure of Death. A warming and close death. I love it so much Lois. Rosa
Lois Bryan replied:
Rosa, I want to apologize for not responding to your beautiful and absolutely poetic comment ... I sincerely appreciate it ... you create with words what we feel in our hearts ... that's quite a gift!!!!! Thank you!!!
